Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they provide a topic, and you choose ten books that answer that topic. This week’s topic is Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR.
Even with a never-ending TBR I know that there are books that I will prioritize reading over the other..well because they sound more exciting to read. So without further ado here are my top ten books that I would like to accomplish reading this fall (hopefully) and in no particular order:
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
I usually make it a habit to read a least one or two classic books every month; however, I failed to do so last month. I am still in the process of reading The Count of Monte Cristo (the book is so darn long!) but once I’m finished with that I will start on this book.
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
I don’t know why but this book has been on my TBR for a while now and hopefully this time I will get to it!
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I just want this book in my hands right now! *quickly pre-orders the book* via Amazon.
Leviathan by Scott Westerfield
Now that I completed the whole trilogy (though I’m a bit peeved that my editions are not the same – the second book is in paperback) I can finally start reading the series, especially since I tend to prefer marathoning series.
A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
Because I just can’t refuse this gorgeous beautiful book cover!
Rook by Sharon Cameron
Had this book since last month, but haven’t had the chance to read it. The premise sounds interesting and it’s a re-telling of the classic The Scarlet Pimpernel (own the book as well, but have yet to read it….) I’ll read this one first that way I’ll be able to comprehend the latter better. HAHA…Yenno with classic literature—they’re not always the easiest to read….
The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Honestly I bought this book just by the cover alone and because everyone seems to be praising it…so hey might as well. I hope it’s as good as everyone made it to be!
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I guess I can add a sappy book into my reading for this fall.
The ABC Murders by Agatha Christie
I also make it a habit to read at least one Agatha Christie once a month and this one is on the top of my list.
A Tale of Two Cities is one of my favorite books of. all. time. I read it for the first time in 8th grade and hated it, then again in high school and I just loved it. So amazing! I’m excited you read classics too! Lots of them are forgotten by book bloggers. (Which is totally understandable because look at all those awesome new books)

Oh how reading it a second time can change your opinion. HAHA But I’m glad you liked it! I can definitely agree with you regarding book bloggers forgetting classic books (not that it’s a bad thing) A lot of the book bloggers I follow are those who love young-adult books (which are also a favorite genre of mine) but classics do hold a special place in my heart. I love reading them out of curiosity…I’d like to know why this particular book is considered a classic. And of course I just like to think sometimes. HAHA

Six of Crows is literally on everybody’s list. Including mine. We’re all Bardugo-buddies.
Dear God, let’s agree to never say that. Ever. Aimal, what is wrong with you. xD
And yes, yes, yes. You must get to the Winner’s Curse ASAP. So much goodness and political denseness and just… so many FEELS.

HAHA I like that—Bardugo-buddies….I know! I’ve been seeing it on everyone’s list, but it’s no surprise! It’s definitely one of the most anticipated series. The premise just sounds so interesting.
Okay I will take your word for The Winner’s Curse. It seems like everyone really enjoyed it. :0

That’s great. I’m reading a whopper at the moment, Brandon Sanderson’s The Well of Ascension, Mistborn Book Two. Big books are always a bit of a challenge I find, but it is so well written….

Oh I really need to read The Mistborn series. Definitely adding it to my TBR list. 🙂

Yes you must, it is awesome. Brandon Sanderson is a wonderful writer, and he has also done some great videos about writing too. Helpful guy 🙂

Such a great list! Almost all of these have been on my bookshelf and my TBR since their releases. We both cannot resist beautiful covers and hyped books I suppose.
I did read Me Before You for my book club last year. It is sappy, but it really is good and worth reading. Especially before it’s a movie! Great post as always!

Thank you. Some of the books on my list I see on WP on a daily basis so I’m like “heck might as well read it…” HAHA Gosh tell me about it! I can never resist beautiful covers. I’m always so drawn to them.
And yes I heard that there is going to be a film adaptation for the book. Have to read it, before the movie comes out. :0

Great TBR. All the Light We cannot See and Rook look very interesting to me although I have not got a chance of, picking them up yet. I never heard of Splintered, yet it looks like a fun read. Right now I’m reading the diary of Anne Frank and Alive. Almost done with both of these books. I hope to buy some books soon.

Thanks Matt! They both do! I’m seeing All The Light We Cannot See everywhere and I’ve been meaning to read historical fiction so this one seemed like worth a read. Splintered sounds really interesting as well.
Oh that’s nice! I hope you’re enjoying reading The Diary of Anne Frank, though I have never heard of Alive.
Happy reading! 🙂

All The Light We Cannot See is my favourite book EVER. I can’t wait for you to read it!
I’ve also been wanting to marathon Leviathan trilogy and the Winner’s trilogy (when it’s complete). But I want to get all these books in hardcover because they look so much more beautiful than the paperbacks.
Also, I didn’t find Me Before You to be sappy at all! I found it to be a very deep and moving book and I ugly cried so much!

Okay I’m going to hold you to that! I’m really excited to read All The Light We Cannot See because I’ve just been seeing it everywhere!
Yes I usually prefer marathoning a series, but I guess if I’m really eager I will read it even if it’s not completed yet.
I already know I will cry with Me Before You. Just the premise alone, I assumed it would be a book that would me make me an emotional wreck.

Hopefully the Me Before You movie will be just as good as the book! I’ll need to bring my tissue box though.

A Tale of Two Cities has been on my TBR Pile for years. I keep trying it and then getting distracted. I hope to finish it soon. And I loved All the Light We Cannot See. I reviewed it here, if you are interested: https://greenishbookshelf.wordpress.com/2015/07/04/all-the-light-we-cannot-see-a-review/. It is a beautiful book.
And I like your new blog design! It’s very classy 🙂

HAHA well I’m sure there are other books that seemed more interesting than A Tale of Two Cities, hence, you haven’t read it and I don’t blame you. Hopefully you will get to read it soon though!
I’ve heard so many great things about All The Light We Cannot See so I’m so glad that you liked it! It makes me even more eager to read ASAP.
And thank you so much! My blog page needed a change. 🙂

But for me personally, I always get so excited when a favorite book of mine gets made into a film. I mean it’s really 50/50 with me. I will either love or hate it, but I just want to see how it would all pan out in live action film. HAHA My imagination was not enough..xD

I’m glad that you noticed! Everyone has been just commenting on the young-adult books that I have listed here. A majority of the book bloggers I follow are more young-adult books readers so it’s nice to know that there are still some who appreciates the classics. 🙂

I really want to read a Tale of Two Cities, I’ve started it so many times. I don’t know why I haven’t finished it.
Ps. Winners curse is amazing.

Well you should definitely finish it! HAHA But I guess you could have been probably bored or just not interested with the book which I think is totally fine. 🙂
And I will hold you to the praising of Winner’s Curse. I hope I will like it.

Ha! Actually I don’t think I was bored with it. I was enjoying the writing style. I think I wasn’t in the mood to read it. Maybe during winter I’ll actually finish reading it.
😀 I hope u like the winners curse too. Just don’t go into it with high expectations. I probably shouldn’t have told u its amazing.

So glad that you liked A Tale of Two Cities. I thought I hated Charles Dickens (bad experience reading a book of his the first time) but now he’s become one of my favorite authors, so my goal is to read all of his books. 🙂
Yes I heard the sequel is coming out soon and the fact that there will be a film adaptation of the first book makes me even more excited to read it!
