Day 28: The first book you can remember reading on your own

I first learned how to read at the age of 3 and this was the first book I read.  As a little girl, I loved reading fairy tales and Cinderella was the first fairy tale book that I read.  And yes, I read the happy and clean version, not the gruesome one. Besides it wouldn’t be appropriate for a young child to read something like that.  In addition, most of the books that my mom bought me were fairy tale books so I obviously had to read them. I think this quote by Albert Einsteins sums up the reason why my mom bought them.

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”-Albert Einstein

I don’t know if it holds true, but I did learn some good lessons reading fairy tales.
