I didn’t get a chance to read this book until my late teens, 19 to be exact, so I was already in college. I wished I had a chance to read it when I was still in high school. I am no Charlie in high school; however, you can really understand where he was coming from while reading this book. The book focuses on issues that teenagers struggle with such as drugs, sex, first love, sexual orientation and just self-acceptance. Charlie was an endearing character-he was not perfect but someone you can just relate to. In addition the book has some really amazing, memorable quotes.
