I don’t really have a favorite author. I choose books based on the premise of the story. If it sounds good, I give it a try. However, here are some authors that comes to mind.
J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter is amazing. She brought into existence a world where we dreamt to be in; however, never thought of creating it or writing about it. Every time I read the Harry Potter books, I was so lost in her writing that I wouldn’t even notice that I would already be on the last page. Time flies when I would read her books. To this day, I wish Hogwarts existed.
Kurt Vonnegut: I like his writing and his books are almost always funny. It may seem really weird and sort of immature but I still chuckle at the term “wide-open beaver.”
Mitch Albom: I always love reading his books. They’re really simple and easy to read. His books are very inspirational and I think I caught myself with tears in my eyes at some point in one of his books.
George Orwell: I have respect for him as an author. I loved Animal Farm and Nineteen-Eighty Four.
Vladimir Nabokov: I love his writing style.
